Ms. Eri Honda has worked for fostering economic growth and cooperation in developing countries for over 25 years. Currently, she is Principal Urban Development Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
She is preparing and implementing the ADB funded projects to help improve urban environment and public health conditions in Southeast Asia, mainly Myanmar and Viet Nam. Such projects aim to increase access to sustainable urban services such as water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management through upgrading of urban infrastructure as well as capacity development in urban management.
Prior to ADB, she worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japanese Delegation to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In her career, Ms. Honda has been devoted to the development of green, competitive, and inclusive cities in various developing countries.
