Shigemoto Kajihara

Shigemoto Kajihara is currently the Vice Minister, Ministry of the Environment, Japan. He was formerly a Deputy Director-General of Global Environment Bureau and in charge of UNFCCC climate change negotiation. He joined the Environmental Agency in 1979 and since 2001, the Ministry of the Environment. He has served in various positions regarding the environmental issues, including planning and coordination on global environment policy, policy making and coordination/evaluation and public relations, environmental impact assessment etc.

Ryuzo Sugimoto

Mr. Ryuzo Sugimoto is principal deputy director in the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ).

He is in charge of MOEJ’s strategy for international cooperation, and sustainable development goals in environmental aspect. He joined MOEJ since 1999 and has over 13 years of experience in various aspects of environment and sustainable development, including climate change, 3R, Chemicals, and EIA in Japan.

Mohd Rizal Osman

Dr. Mohd Rizal Osman is current working with Urban Wellbeing Centre of Excellence (URBANICE MALAYSIA) as a Manager of Analytics, Outreach & Programs. URBANICE MALAYSIA is a company limited by guarantee under the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government as incorporated on 28 June 2016. He has working experience with Federal Department Town and Country Planning (PLANMalaysia starting from 2004 to 2016) and private town planning company in 2001 to 2004.

Azmizam Abdul Rashid

Azmizam Abdul Rashid is working with Urban Wellbeing Centre of Excellence  (URBANICE MALAYSIA) as Manager Research and Special Project. URBANICE Malaysia is under Federal Department of Town and Country Planning, Peninsular Malaysia, Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government.

Truong Thi Tuyet Nhung

Mrs. Truong Thi Tuyet Nhung is currently officer to the ASOEN Chairman in ASOEN VIET NAM OFFICE under Vietnam Environment Administration, MONRE of Viet Nam.

At the 7th HLS ESC, she had supported her colleagues to organize the High-Level Seminar in Viet Nam, and at the 4th HLS ESC she was there as a coordinator  to support  the secretariat  to organize the meeting in Viet Nam.

At the 8th HLS, she is hoping to learn more about environmentally sustainable cities and to connect with partners  in the area/theme of environment.

Do Nam Thang

Dr. Do Nam Thang is Deputy Director General of Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. He is also Operational Focal Point of Global Environment Facility (GEF) Vietnam. He is in charge of ASEAN and multilateral cooperation, including those in climate change and environmentally sustainable cities.

Mok Jinmoon

Ms. Jinmoon Mok is currently an Assistant Manager of Korea Environment Corporation in Korea.

She is in charge of supporting development of policies and businesses of Eco-friendly Sustainable Cities in Korea. Her forthcoming projects include “Development of future model of Eco-friendly Sustainable Cities in Korea”

She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Kangwon National University, Korea in 2006. 

Jung Gyesoo

Mr. Gyesoo Jung is currently an Assistant Manager of Korea Environment Corporation in Korea.

He is in charge of supporting development of policies and businesses of Eco-friendly Sustainable Cities in Korea. Prior to this role, he worked for management of eco-friendly energy town in Korea for 5 years. His forthcoming projects include “Development of future model of Eco-friendly Sustainable Cities in Korea”

Pak Sokharavuth

Mr. Pak Sokharavuth is currently Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Environmental Protection of the Minister of Environment, Cambodia.

Prior to this he was the Director of Air Quality and Noise Management Department.

Khin Thida Tin

Ms. Khin Thida Tin is currently Director of Yangon Region Environmental Conservation Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation in Myanmar.  Prior to this, she was a Fellow with the National Commission for Environmental Affairs, where she earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management from University of Adelaide, Australia on 14th July 1994. She previously worked at the National Commission for Environmental Affairs from 1992 to 2012.
